Meet Dr. Ducic
Dr. Ducic has dedicated his life to restoring function and aesthetics to patients with facial trauma, head and neck injuries, and those seeking cosmetic enhancement or correction. His work in reconstructive surgery and rhinoplasty, facelift, ear reshaping, have led him to become a recognized leader in the facial plastic and reconstructive surgery community. He has spent the last two decades honing his skills and sharing his expertise with others through articles, lectures, and teaching positions at prestigious hospitals across the United States and Canada. He has described numerous techniques used by surgeons across America and changed how many cancers are treated.
Credentials & Experience
Dr. Ducic is board certified in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. His training includes an internship at Mount Sinai Hospital, a residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck surgery at the University of Ottawa, and a Fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Minnesota.
Dr. Ducic is licensed in Texas, and Florida and is a Medical Council of Canada Licentiate. He is board certified by an impressive array of professional organizations, including:

Dr. Ducic specializes in all forms of reconstructive craniofacial surgery, maxillofacial trauma, and skull base surgery. With a focus on face, head, and neck surgery, Dr. Ducic has developed skills in harvesting grafts from other areas of the body to optimize the function and aesthetics of the face, neck, throat and skull.
He often performs complex reconstructive procedures for patients suffering from congenital birth defects (cleft lip, cleft palate, skin lesions, craniofacial abnormalities) and trauma (fractures of the upper face or mandible, scar revisions). The ability to perform many types of tissue transfers, including microsurgical procedures, allows Dr. Ducic to treat many head and neck cancers more aggressively thus improving outcomes, while optimizing appearance and functional ability after the loss of tissue by the tumor.

Dr. Ducic’s work in developing new methods of facial reconstruction following traumatic injury and head and neck tumor removal has earned him recognition as a leader in the field. He frequently publishes his research results in distinguished medical and scientific publications, including Facial Plastic Surgery, JAMA Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, The Laryngoscope, and the Journal of Reconstructive Microsurgery. He has almost 300 publications making him one of the most prolific clinical researchers in the field of head, neck and facial plastic surgery.
Dr. Yadro Ducic has developed multiple innovations in face, neck, and skull base surgery in response to patient needs. Among his successes are various approaches to access lesions of the skull base as well as many techniques to optimize appearance post-operatively.
His work on patients with skull base tumors led him to develop tumor removal methods that minimize neurological damage by removing parts of the facial skeleton or moving them to the side to allow for safe access to the tumor. These procedures required the development of a number of techniques that result in significant improvements in the patient’s overall appearance.
